NYE Party Ideas…

So since The Boy & I finally decided to just go ahead and throw an NYE party it is definitely time for me to get my act together and start planning! 

We chose Roaring 20’s as our theme so I have begun to scour Pinterest for appetizer & decoration ideas. 

I am trying to find some kind of game or activity to go along with it too, so if you  have any ideas please throw them my way and if you are in Chicago come over! 


I plan to have a few of the usual appetizer type things you would find at a regular party but I want a few that are of the theme…any ideas???


This makes me realize I have a lot of work to do…..


This weekend was all things Christmas and it was great! I can actually say it was the best weekend I have had in months…I got to spend time with The Boy, my family and both of my best friends. 

All our Christmas fun started with a visit the Macys Santa downtown:

Then we went off to the Christkindlmarket for some grub & shopping. Luckily it was snowing and around 30 so it wasn’t too awful to be outside. 

It is impossible to take a cute selfie when layers of clothes on…my arms just don’t move as well as they should.

Sunday started with a friend throwing her annual Christmas Tea Party. I loved the idea and she throws great themed parties. I think there were about 30 women in the house! 

The youngest member of the group 🙂 
Then…

I made a meetup for the Couples Group I have to go to the Zoolights at Lincoln Park Zoo. We were not lucky enough to have good weather on Sunday night. It was around 14 and very windy. The 3 couples that showed up were great and we ended up having a fantastic time with them. 

So overall…a fantastically(made up word??) festive weekend!

Secret Santa Swap Reveal!

I love any kind of gift swap and doing them through blogs is always so much fun. I get to learn about a few new blogs, shop for a stranger(which can be either fun or stressful depending on the info given) and then, of course, I get mail. 

I love mail…any  kind..I really do! So if you like to send snail mail please feel free to get my address and send away! 
I still am not sure who my Secret Santa is  but I had Leeann over @ Join The Gossip and I am very guilty of accidentally putting my information down when I sent my gift. I went back and read the info after and realized I was not supposed to reveal who I am! Ooops! 

How awesome is that! I love love Reese holiday treats and a new mug always makes me happy! I have started a collection of ornaments when I finally do put up a tree so that will be a great addition!
