I didn’t get to see the CMA’s last night….I have boycotted watching live television since I got home. Ain’t nobody got time for 3 minutes of commercials every 5 minutes. Nope and Nope. So I will be avoiding anyone’s blog who has CMA anything on it…

I have been tossing around the idea of The Boy & I throwing a themed NYE party since we know he can’t take the days off to travel like I wanted. So since it is Thirsty Thursday…here are some of the drink ideas I might be using!

What a crazy busy weekend!!! 

I managed to have dinner/drinks with my bestie on Friday, had brunch with 10 people then spent all day Saturday at a dealership getting myself a new car and Sunday I ran the Hot Chocolate 5K & went to a belly dancing event. 

It was actually really nice to be so busy that by Sunday night I just collapsed into bed and slept like a baby. 

I’ll blog about the Hot Chocolate 5k tomorrow…

Friday night I went to dinner at Havana with my bestie Snifferella. It feels like it has been forever since we were able to just go out for diner/drinks just us and catch up. We had to pick up our packets for the run so it was a great opportunity to hang out. The food was DELICIOUS so I recommend if your in Chicago you try it 🙂

 Saturday The Boy & I had brunch with 4 other couples from Meetup at Kingsbury Cafe. We really like that place, its reasonably priced and the food has yet to disappoint so it was great to have other people join us. 

Then….the good stuff started….I spent the next 7 hours at a dealership trying to get myself a new car. I didn’t get my first pick because I had to be completely reasonable and not end up in a homeless shelter just to pay for my car. Has this ever happened to any of you? I was so ready to walk out of there with that car! Had to decide to leave the dealership and go grab some food just so I could calm down and have The Boy talk some sense into me! So I picked out a Nissan Versa and by the end of the day it was all mine! (*don’t mind me in the photo I had just finished a 5k)
