Monday Monday

November 12, 2012

Well it’s Monday again…so quickly.
Remember how I said I wasn’t going to do a damn thing this weekend? Well that was almost true. Even though I had a bum foot and awful cough I still managed to get talked into going to the bar on Friday night. I’d like to say they did a good job convincing me but I really just needed a drink. Unfortunately all the smoking in the bars here made my cough way worse and I regretted it along with the hangover the next day. Then I proceeded to lay about my apartment with my foot up for most of Saturday and Sunday. Sunday night I met up with a director from another school to talk about maybe working some part time tutoring in the side. Score for a free dinner!

So that brings us to Monday. I went back to the hospital today to discuss how the 4 medications I was given have had no effect and how it quite possibly is the pollution that is causing all these problems and not because I don’t drink enough Chinese tea. I was given 4 more medications, told to avoid fried foods, drink more water and not to exercise outside. Yep. 4 more medications. Got to love Chinese hospitals.

So yea…that is my story. Here are some photos to back it all up.

With the teachers at the bar 🙂

Dr.pepper shot…tastes like it. Also what put me into the sick bin!

First set of medications

My poor foot

Dyed my hair back to black! Which apparently my co-teacher does not like it. Know how I know? She told me so today. Said Oh you dyed your hair? I don’t like it. Have to love the Chinese.

My 2nd set of medications 🙁

Excuse the mess, my VPN on my laptop is not cooperating so I have to use my iPad!
How was your weekend???

Vote…do it!

November 6, 2012

Its that time again. Election day. Now I do my best to keep my strong opinions about politics away from this blog to save myself arguments and offending anyone because I don’t generally enjoy hurting anyone’s feelings just for fun.sometimes BUT I do think its important for everyone to be in the know. Do your research, figure out what is important to you and find out where both candidates stand on it. Don’t take mine or any random persons word for it. Every single one of us has something different we find important so it can’t be as simple as so & so said this person is better or this person is the same religion, the same gender, the same race, the same whatever it might be. Yes I have actually had the race conversation more times than I can count and it makes me so sad.

Does Religion matter? For some yes it really does. For me not as much because I am not a religious person. another post for another day I suppose. I believe in good moral behavior and that we need to recognize that not everyone in the country is the same religion. Our country is a mess, not just the politicians, the country itself. If the conversations I have been a part of, the social media crap I’ve read, the single-minded comments and posts are anything to go by we all need a shake up and to be taught how to act like educated adults.

So if I can go through the pain in the behind process that is voting from C.hina you can make some time in your day and vote. I have been on the fence for awhile trying to decide what is the lesser of two evils for quite some time. I took the time to sit down and decide what is important to me, what I think can genuinely benefit the rest of the country and not one particular group of any kind and now feel strong in the belief that I voted for the right candidate. All I can do is hope the majority felt the same way.

Either way. Don’t just vote because someone told you to, don’t vote for anyone in particular because so & so is doing so. Know what your voting for.

Be thankful that we live in a country where you can talk crap about a president all over any social media site you please, you can argue in public with someone about politicians and you can vote without being shot at, threatened(egh that depends what state you are in) . Exercise those rights people!!

See you all on the other side!!!

Its Monday!!

November 5, 2012

Ooh I am so tired! I don’t know why the weekends go so quickly and the rest of the week drags on. Actually the week did go pretty quickly for me so I don’t know what I am whining about.

This weekend was a good one, although taking 3 days off working out took a toll. When I did my Zumba I thought I might die!

Friday night a few of the other teachers and I headed to the new bar that opened up and had a ridiculous night. It was just one of those nights that were supposed to be a few drinks and turned into getting home at 4am. Actually that has happened the last two Fridays at this bar…I think there is something in the drinks there.

Saturday I spent laying around my apartment pretending I wasn’t hungover but really just wanting to curl into fetal position. Last Saturday was spent at a little Halloween party. Since I didn’t blog last week except Friday I have plenty pictures to share.

Here ya go!
