Three On Thursday

February 21, 2019

Another Thursday post of Favorites thanks to Steph @ Not Entirely Perfect

Avery Sticker Project Paper – I love planner stickers and all that fun stuff but I do not have a cricut (yet) so I decided to buy some sticker paper and print my own stickers for my planner. There are tons of free templates online as well as really cheap designs on etsy! Now I have lots and lots of planner stickers and I can print more!

Skechers Performance Go – I was looking for good walking flats for vacations since I don’t always like to wear gym shoes and I don’t want to pack a bunch of bulky things in my carry on. I got a pair of all black ones so they match anything i wear and they are amazing! I’ve been wearing them everywhere breaking them in and I am loving it so far.

Replacement bands for my versa – My fitbit versa came with a black rubber band and a purple cloth one and they are great but I got a metal band that is kind of shimmery and changes color depending on the angle so it kind of matches everything! Its been great! Only downside is the magnet part sticks to my laptop all the time!

What are you favorites this week?

Travel Days: Caribbean Cruise – Cozumel, Mexico

February 20, 2019

Sharing Day 6 of our 7 Day Norwegian Western Caribbean Cruise. You can find Days 1-5 along with my other travel posts here!

I have been to Cozumel quite a few times, though only once before on a cruise stop. We knew there were plenty of excursions to do there too.

We chose to do a ATV and Cenote swim excursion.

We had some time when we got to the port before our excursion started so took our time getting off the ship and then we walked around the big shopping area.

About this excursion

  • The ATV part is a lot of fun in a smaller groups. We had a really big group and a lot of solo riders so every time someone stopped or got stuck we had to wait
  • If you have time to kill the boardwalk has plenty of restaurants to stop and get a drink for cheap
  • Do your research on your excursion!

I loved the cenote we visited on our last trip. Cenotes are natural pits or sinkholes that have natural springs or water. I wanted to check one out on this trip but the kind that were more open rather than climbing down 100 stairs. We got super sweaty and dusty riding the ATV to the cenote. Once we got to the Cenote though I was kind of disappointed because the cenote smelled horrendous. Thank you sulfur. No one wanted to swim in it because the smell was so bad. Not something they can control but it would have been nice to know going in that the cenote wasn’t clear clean water.

It was still beautiful though! After hanging out there and taking photos we got back on our ATVs and rode back to the pickup spot. Overall we enjoyed the stop and really loved the ATVs!

Of course, I have to share the towel animal we got back to our room to find that evening!

Have you been to Cozumel? Did you do any excursions?

Three on Thursday: Valentines Edition

February 14, 2019

Another Thursday post of Favorites thanks to Steph @ Not Entirely Perfect

Since it’s Valentine’s Day and all I thought I’d share my three favorite sweets I like to eat around this time!

Chocolate Covered Cherry Cordials – There was a time where I could an entire box of these no problem. Now I can eat 2 without being disgusted with myself but I still love them. I don’t care how gross they look, I especially like when they are a little cold so they aren’t completely liquid!

Heart Shaped Reese Cups – I actually love to get the shaped ones for every season/holiday. For easter they will be egg shaped and for Halloween pumpkin shaped. They are my favorite because in the shapes they have way more PB to chocolate!

Chocolate covered Strawberries – Now…I like to eat these all the time but around Valentine’s day they are EVERYWHERE. I walk into the grocery store and there is a lady dipping strawberries in a crock pot full of chocolate…I can’t walk by that. Who can? My ex used to go to Godiva every year and bring me home a 1/2 dozen. That was the only thing we did to acknowledge Valentines day. Surprisingly I still love them even though he was a douchecanoe. Let Betty Crocker show you how to make some here!

You didn’t think I’d make it through a Valentine’s day post without talking about a dumb ex right?

In the spirit of this day that makes us all lose our minds and set ridiculous expectations let’s all remember what is important…. the candy is 50%+ off tomorrow.

Do you have any favorite sweets you eat around this time? Are you one of those horrible people who actually eat the conversation hearts? (jk its ok if you are a sick human being)
