Austin Eats: Part Dos

So here are some of the new restaurants/foods I have tried in Austin over the last couple weeks! You can find more food posts here!

 

Via 313 Pizza….Detroit pizza? 
People love this stuff down here. Its like eating a giant breadstick guys…BUT they have vegan cheese options so I tried it! 
We are on a quest to find all the good AYCE sushi places nearby and this one wasn’t too bad. I didn’t l like two of the rolls we ordered though. 

 

 
 
We had a few too many drinks exploring an open art studio event and found ourselves starving…Stubbs is open till 11…so bbq it was. Considering my level of intoxication I can not tell you if it was good bbq but I really enjoyed it!

This place has $2 mimosas & bellinis and I can walk to it from home. DANGEROUS! The food was pretty good and luckily I tried it with two girls I met from meetup a few weeks prior. We ended up having a 3 hour brunch! 
 

 

 
 
This one was a random weeknight “lets explore” pick by A and we ended up getting to listen to some live music and have some yummy food. Apparently their fried oysters are very well known and we thought they were pretty good! More importantly…this place looked super cool! 
 
 
 

 

 
 
And of course…my sweets addiction is never ending so we headed over to Rainey st to get some mini donuts at Little Lucys

Making || With all this rain I have been in the mood for something warm and yummy: Lazy Girl’s Chicken Pot Pie  from Lattes, Life & Luggage 
Drinking || Austin East Ciders Spiced & I had my first Salted Caramel Mocha yesterday…I forgot how delicious(* side note on this…I actually think I may have a slight allergy to that cider but we are going to try it one more time to be sure!) 
Reading || Where’d you go Bernadette
Trawling || Old Navy so I can use my cash thingy and keep building up this work wardrobe  
Wanting || To be at home in Chicago with A this weekend. He went home for 5 days and I am all by my lonesome in Austin!  
Looking || At more rain…I am so so tired of rain guys 
Deciding || If I will try to find something to do something tonight or just relax. 
Wishing || I was going on vacation right now! 
Enjoying || Kindergarten Talent Show today guys…I love it…they are so stinking cute! 
Waiting || for my very first devacut tomorrow. I am so excited! 
Liking || having my own office…Its been a long time since I didn’t have to share an office with people!     
 
 

Three on Thursday!

  • Target Clothes…Listen. I know everyone loves Target but they have some damn cute work stuff! I had to get a lot of new items for work because most of what I wore to work before was worn out and too casual for the current school I am at. I am really working on building a work wardrobe that can go across seasons and target has been a big help! It does not hurt that A works for target so I get his discount plus Redcard is another 5%! 
     

  • Sunbum….everything. I’ve become obsessed since I got a little travel bottle of their sunscreen. Now I am all about it. I use the sunscreen, the cooling lotion and the chapstick. My hair is an unruly curl so I can’t really use their hair products but I wish I could. They are cruelty free and many of their products are vegan. They smell amazing too! 

  • Summer Moon Coffee….I discovered this when I moved to Austin and even though I am back to making my coffee at home it is now my go to when I have coffee out. I LOVE it. Wood Fired coffee, moon juice, dairy alternatives(because lactose hates me) anyway the shit is like crack and you should try it but then…maybe you shouldn’t because then you will be all “Starbucks who?“
