May Goals!

May 1, 2018

I failed so hard on my March goals that I didn’t even bother to make April ones. You know its bad when that happens. But the sun is shining and I am feeling some kind of way so I am making some goals for this month!

But first…

Because I can’t help myself!

For May I would like to….

  • Begin a shopping ban again
  • Go to the gym 10 times
  • Get to Yoga 10 times
  • Purge at least one trash bag of stuff
  • Blog at least 3 days a week
  • *In relation to blogging* Get the damn weekly post I have in mind actually started
  • Meal Prep all 4 weeks
  •  Cook dinner at home 4 times a week

I’ve got this! It’s time to get ready for summer!!

Hello Monday!

April 30, 2018

http://www.myglitteryheart.com/
I’m hoping today is quiet and the kids are as tired as I am!

Friday…We had decided to meet my brother & mom to see Infinity War late…like 11:30 pm show so we had a lot of time to kill after work. We checked out one of my favorite spots Del Seoul for yummy food!

Then headed off to the burbs to see Infinity War. Without giving away any spoilers…The theater was completely silent even after the credits & extra scenes at the end just because….By Sunday I was still not over it.

Saturday… I had a delicious brunch meetup at Parlor! I got to meet some new girls to the group and they had some fun ideas for future meetups so that was exciting! I spent the rest of the day relaxing and catching up on my shows. Scandal finale OMG! Then went out for drinks to Three Dots and a Dash and loved their drinks! I mean…for $16.50 (including tax/tip) the drinks had better be effing good.

Sunday…I got my hungover self up and out to the burbs to spend the day with my brother & mom again. (My sis is out of town) We decided to get some lunch at Joy Yee‘s(one of my fave asian places) and then went to A Colorful Affair in Naperville to do some crafts. They give you a choice of making soap, candles, mosaics, fused glass, painting on canvas, ceramics or painting wine glasses. It was kind of awesome since we had the studio to ourselves to just hang out and be creative!

Then I got to go home and meal prep and do homework…yay adulting!

Cooking Adventures: April

April 24, 2018

I really do. So back again sharing some foods I’ve cooked and foods Ive eaten since the last time…which you can see here & here & here.

Since we were gone the first week of April visiting Austin and then took a week to get back out of vacation  mode we didn’t cook as much as normal this month. Doing these monthly posts has really helped me gauge how often we are cooking though and it is super helpful!

 Our new weekly:  Cheeseless Pizza!
Left: Spicy Sausage, Pineapple Habanero Sauce & Onions
Right: Pineapple & pepperoni

Meatloaf stuffed with bacon, diced apples.
Sauce had strawberry jalapeno jam & ketchup
*this one was courtesy of Thenewguy making meats!

 Butternut Squash Risotto
Garlic baked Green beans & Chicken

Caught gramming! He is how I get all the good pics!

Panag Curry Chicken
Jasmine Rice

This is my favorite dish to eat/cook! I love curry chicken and I always try to go heavy on the veggies when I make it!
