More Coffee Less Talky

I confess…..

– I am so ready for this weekend to be here…so ready

– I am pretty sure I am going to drink myself into a hot mess at TBOX this weekend. I’ve got my Onesie all ready to go!

– I have a big test I need to take before January 15th and everyday I say I will study…and I don’t. I need to get my act together. 

– I will follow anyone on Instagram, twitter and pinterest because I like variety but I am extremely pick about who I will follow on Facebook. I don’t know why. For bloglovin I have to see a couple posts first.

– I’m 2 movies down for Star Wars and wondering what I have been doing with my life. My best friend G says they are male soap operas and I can totally see that.

– Im working on a post about ways to piss bloggers off and I keep cracking myself up when I go back to add things.

– I need a winter break to get here fast…these kids man….

– I have almost all my presents wrapped and under the tree. Only thing left are some of the DIY projects I am working on and it feels amazing!!

On Mondays…

Why does Monday come around so quickly? I had a pretty low key weekend, it was great. Had a nice date night, went to a family party for the Boyfriend’s family where they watched the Iowa game (sad night for the boys), went to see Santa at Macy’s and had a Sunday funday that included way too many mimosas…tooo many. 
I managed to stalk catch the holiday train this year! It is one of those things I love to do each year, a holiday tradition for myself! 

Date night included some Thai food because I always ALWAYS ask for Thai. Since the Boyfriend is now obsessed with Fro-yo we had that too. Again…he mixed up some nasty stuff in his cup.

I’m going to make a whole post for our Santa visit but for now I can share my selfie…

The boys watching the Iowa game…they were so excited and then…they weren’t. 
Sunday my roomie and I went to Red Door  for Brunch and bottomless Mimosas! She was supposed to go to work at 3…that didn’t happen. I got home and ended up taking a nap and relaxing..didn’t get any of the errands or Xmas wrapping that I had planned done.
This is round 2…
Then the Boyfriend came back from the Bears game where they unfortunately lost to a team they should have won and while he snored his sorrows away I watched my 2nd Star Wars movie.

On Christkindlmarket…a Winter to-do

Is it technically winter yet? I mean its snowing so I am just going to say yes. I wanted to share one of the many things I love to do in the winter here in Chicago.

The Christkindlmarket! 
Wondering what the heck it is?
It is an outdoor market with international (mainly European) items and foods. They sell yummy foods like brats, crepes, potato pancakes, nuts and drinks like spiced wine, hot cider, and beer. 
They sell commemorative mugs that you can buy with your wine and they are often shaped like a boot (I used to have a collection, till I lost them in the custody battle)  
They were using regular mugs for a few years but they brought back the mug this year!! 
The Boyfriend and I joined my the chef and her boyfriend and walked around. I, of course, had to have a potato pancake that I had to eat super fast before it froze. I had a some wine in my boot cup because…why not? and we shared some nuts. I didn’t buy anything this time since I plan to go back with another friend before it ends. 
I feel like someone has a cuter picture of me and that mug?! 

Told you guys I would finally take more pics now that I have a fancy phone! 
I wont tell you guys we went back twice for him to have more fried cheese…

Usually the tree is there in Daley plaza but this year they moved it so we walked over to check it out in Milennium park. 
Its so pretty in all its giant lightbulby glory!
