If there is anything I can talk and talk about it’s books. I love them. Read too many, usually trashy ones, sometimes serious. I love book lists and recommendations!
– Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris. This book. Yes! Highly recommend. Per my review ( i never review books) I couldn’t put it down. I felt like there was something up and I couldn’t quite place my finger on it and I loved that about it.
– Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton. I love YA books. There I said it. I really do. I also love magical, anything dessert or middle eastern type and this book has Djinni, magic, that and more. If you are looking for something light this book is a hit! I’m currently on the 2nd in the series too.
– The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. In looking at the reviews before I read the book I really couldn’t decide if it was going to be good. I actually checked out the ebook and then didn’t read it and had to wait for it to be available again. First, the writing in this book is fantastic. I love being able to picture everything in my head and a great detailed writer can do that. Its different than what you expect from reading the blurb and will either draw you in or you won’t like it. But. I. think. you. should. read. it!
Have you read any of these? What did you think? I am going to check out all your recommendations and hopefully have some new books to review before the next link up!

The Night Circus is on my list for someday!!! I couldn't get into the Roanoke Girls. Quite liked Behind Closed Doors and her other one wasn't bad either.

Roanoke Girls is on my list, I'll have to check out these other ones too for sure.

I really enjoyed the Roanoke Girls, which always feels weird saying given the subject matter. I DNfed B.A. Paris' latest book, The Breakdown so I'm a bit hesitant to read Behind Closed Doors now.

I really liked The Roanoke Girls. Despite its incredibly messed up topic, it was a great book.
I've only read Slaughter's stand alone books and liked them a lot. I don't know if I could handle her in a series. I feel like it'd be too repetitive and/or boring.

I need to read some Karin Slaughter books! I love a good thriller and she consistently gets rave reviews! And I felt the exact same way about Behind Closed Doors! I couldn't put it down! Definitely try to pick up her other book The Breakdown, I didn't think that it was as good as Behind Closed Doors, but it was still a good thriller!

The Night Circus was the book that got me back on the reading train. I decided that I'd like to start reading again and at the time I was seeing it everywhere, so I picked it up from my library and that was that, I was back into reading and I had a great book in my hands to get me started.
It really was a magical book and I think I'd like to re-read it sometime.

Roanoke Girls is on my TBR! And I have a Slaughter book on my Nook app, need to read that since she seems to be a popular author this month 🙂

I sold on The Night Circus! I only hear good things about it!

I've seen a couple of people post about The Roanoke Girls. I think I need to pick that one up.

oh Sookie. I really want to re-read it but the last one really kicked me in the heart. I have The Roanoke Girls on my kindle, I'll get to it eventually. Behind Closed Doors is on my list! I keep hearing good things. I love YA books too so I'm definitely checking out that Rebel of the Sands one.
I read (listened) to the night circus years ago, and honestly? I hated it. don't know if it was the narrator or the story itself but yeah. Not a fan unfortunately.

Oh man, I hate it when I read a book only to find out after the fact that it's part of a series! I have The Roanoke Girls on my kindle- need to get to it! And Slaughter is on my TBR, so happy to see another positive review of it!

Loved Roanoke Girls and The Night Circus even though Night Circus is totally not my typical read.
I forgot about the Will Trent books, someone was talking about them a while ago. I should check them out. I haven't read much of her.

I haven't decided about behind closed doors… but your review makes me want to try it!
Nadine Lynn
I have Behind Closed Doors and The Kept Woman on my TBR. I am glad you liked Closed Doors and I didn't realize that The Kept Woman was part of a series so I am really glad I read your review. I hate started a series not on book one.

Hmm. Definitely going to check out Rebel of the Sands…
I've heard good things about The Night Circus and Roanoke Girls. I'm glad you enjoyed them! It was a good month for reading!

I read Night Circus in 2015 and it was one of my top 5 of the year. It's so magical and gorgeous to read. 🙂 I have Rebel of the Sands on my shelf. So excited to pick it up. Though I won't lie, when I bought it it was a standalone novel. LOL I was excited about something that would never be a sequel. HEHE XO – Alexandra
