October Goals

October 1, 2019

On this first day of #Blogtober I decided to keep it simple by sharing my October goals!

October Goals

  • Make Coffee at home 5-6 days a week. You dont even want to know how much I spent at coffee shops last month. It hearts my heart.
  • Complete #Blogtober – I need to kick start my writing again and I am hoping this will inspire me! Its going to be hard!
  • Planning – I need to take advantage of my planner, be more thorough and try and stick to my plans
  • Get outside – Its finally under 3 digit temps so I want to be outside as much as I can even if its just to take a walk
  • Get flights for holidays booked already
  • Be Consistent – I have a terrible habit of not following through. I start and stop things all the time and Id really like to work on consistency.

I have so many things I want to do in October and when I looked at the calendar I realized I was going to overbook myself if I didn’t make more realistic plans so I said no/pushed back some things and now I am ready to take this month on!

What are your goals for this month?

May Goals – April Review

May 1, 2019

Sharing my May goals and reviewing April

April Review

  • No take out – Yes. Well. We did fairly well. Not 0 but only 2x and that is a HUGE improvement.
  • Blog/Insta Planning – I started out well. I had worked on a bunch of posts. But then I got stressed about school and work and let it fall so this was a big fail.
  • Reading – This seems to be the only thing I did so well this month. I finished 15 books.
  • Get Outside– I did this! We either took walks during the week or made sure we did something outside any weekend that weather permitted.
  • Spring Clean – Hahaha…well I tried. I did get rid of a few things. But the only thing I managed to really do was rearrange things.
  • Less Spend – I did ok. I ended up having an large unexpected expense that was my own fault and pretty much wiped out the good work I had been doing with saving so I am starting all over again.

April was an interesting month for me. My reading finally picked back up but pretty much everything else fall by the wayside. With that ridiculous unexpected expense I got super stressed which always leads to crappy eating and pretty much shutting down on my end. Also, I traveled back to Chicago mid month and for some reason travel always sets me back on getting things done.

May Goals

  • No Overplanning – May is a busy month. The end of the school year always is. I have to remember to say no to things I can control and not stress myself with too many plans.
  • Blog/Insta Planning – I’ve got this. This weekend I am planning stuff out! But really I’d like to not be scrambling to post or skipping a full week because I forget.
  • School School School– I am in the home stretch for school and I have a super super case of senioritis. I have to prioritize studying and homework time.
  • Workout – Weather is good, gym is free. I need to see it more than 1x a month.
  • Save – Period. I have to replenish those savings
How tired do you think he is of seeing this every single May?

April Goals- March Review

April 1, 2019

Sharing my April goals and reviewing March

There are Blue Bonnets everywhere in Austin right now!

March Review

  • Less Spend – I actually did pretty well on this one. I was trying so hard not to get out of hand knowing I would spend on vacation.
  • Cleaner Eats – Nope. Not even a bit. I don’t know what happened. We ate takeout and I ate so much junk. I am pretty sure it was stress
  • Working out – Guys. I worked out 2x in March. BUT to be fair we walked over 80 miles while on vacation and my fitbit said I was active and at or above my step goal for 10 days straight.
  • Planning– I did a pretty decent job of planning in March. I used my planner often too!
  • Be Present – On vacation I was completely present but leading up and coming back I was not
  • Clean up– Ha. If you saw my closet right now you all probably have a heart attack.

I think that I was maybe too ambitious with my goals considering I was gone for 9 days during the month and had to prep for that as well as make sure all my work was caught up before and after.

April Goals

  • No take out – I think we need to get this under control. We are ordering out too much out of pure laziness.
  • Blog/Insta Planning – I want to get a full month planned out. I think I can do this if I just sit down and make it happen
  • Reading – I have been so busy I haven’t been taking the time to read, which I love enough. So I want to say no more this month so I can have time to lay around and read!
  • Get Outside – the weather has been tricky here in Austin but it is definitely nice enough to be outside way more than I have been.
  • Spring Clean my Closet – Clearly I didn’t last month so I will this month!

I’m ready! What are your goals this month?
