Positive what??

Yesterday I had a major bitch fest and I was all around angry and bitter with the world…you know all that I work so hard and I want to travel the world and I don’t have a clue what to do with my life shit that most people(right??) deal with just like me…and I realized I have turned into a negative nelly and its really not me.

So I thought I might share some tips for Positivity! Some things that always help bring a little ray of sunshine back into my doom & gloom and ways to help get your shit back to dandelions & rainbows again:

1. Talk to a friend. Seems pretty basic right? It really effing helps…not just any friend though..someone you know will give you lots of love and advice or just listen if that is what you need!

2. Hug someone. Also, seems pretty basic but we need to be touched. It helps reduce anxiety, makes us feel connected…in short it makes you feel effing better. So do it. If you can snuggle up with your boo or get a giant hug from a parent or friend it will help!

3. Do something active. Its proven that doing some kind of exercise releases something or other that makes you feel high…like if you smoked something…without the shitty comedown(not that I know anything about that) Chocolate also does this but if you are like me and stress eat then don’t do it because you will cry about it later. 
4. Write it down. When I get really overwhelmed and down I write it all down. Maybe I share with someone, maybe I don’t but I get it all on paper so I can put it somewhere and walk away from it. Maybe you are just stressing over something small or maybe it is a huge decision…writing down all your thoughts and feelings may help you get it in perspective. 
5. Watch something funny. I don’t know about other people but when I am feeling shitty I always make it worse by watching things that make me cry. A tip for positivity is to turn that shit off and find something funny. Laughing can’t hurt…can it? 

6. Make a child laugh. This one might not work if you don’t have access to children. There is nothing that can make me smile faster than hearing my nephew or any kid start laughing uncontrollably. You know what I mean??

Ok so maybe 5 & 6 could go together??/

7. 30 Second Dance party. Grey’s Anatomy showed me the wonders of a 30 second dance party. Put on your favorite upbeat song(remember nothing that makes you even more sad) and get your ass up and dance & sing it out. Make it count like you are trying for the last effing spot on some dance/singing competition show.

I know sometimes it really as easy as saying “Ok, this is it, I am going to be happy” but sometimes it just doesn’t work that way so try some of these tips and see how it works!

Humpday Confessions

Linking up for Humpday Confessions…even though I have now found out that the link up isn’t so much a link up anymore 🙁

 I worry too much. About everything. I am sure that is normal for most people…but then I sent a photo of my knuckles to The Boy the other night…stressed because I was worried they are too bony. They are the only bony thing on my body…I should have been like “ooh snap look at that!” haha but no…I was worried.

He might be too used to things like this because he just laughed.

This sums it up….
My old Canadian coworker GCgirl messaged me this a couple days ago and I almost died laughing. We had many a conversation about why I couldn’t be president when we were living in China….

because of #2 I damn near quit my job yesterday…it took me 3 hours to get to to work..making me over an hour late. It was not snowing and the highways were plowed…and yet…people were driving less than 10 miles an hour. I got to a point where I said this job isn’t worth the stress and almost rage quit. 
{4} 
Saturday I had brunch with a good friend who was in town visiting and we are walking the streets all bundled up and fighting the snow coming in sideways and we look up and see this….
 I confess….I took the photo and shared it with EVERYONE. Because well…you know why. 
{5} 
I had the best workout I have had in months the other day. I don’t know exactly why it was so great…maybe because I tried really hard and was super into it and felt like a damn rockstar afterwards…
and then….then…I woke up the next day….
Haha but I will do that workout again and I lift even more next time bitches!!! 
So those are my confessions…forgive the underlying anger PMS is an evil sickness.

On Weekends…

A day late because I couldn’t get a minute to blog yesterday, which means I have lots of catching up to do today.

My weekend seemed to include a lot of food…and I got to spend some much MUCH needed girl time with Snifferella! I did manage to get to the gym in there too!

See…lots of food!
