On a Healthy New Snack!

January 10, 2016

I love to share any tips and tricks I have along the trying to stay healthy and get in shape path. I wanted to let you guys know all about these awesome new Nakd Bars from Natural Balance Foods!

I got a variety pack to try out and loved the ones I tried out!

I loved loved the packaging! I mean “Hello Gorgeous” Who doesn’t want to open a box to that??

I decided to share these with The Boyfriend since we are always carrying around snacks for him. He is Type1 Diabetic so when he goes low he often ends up having to eat candy and well…that is no good. So these bars were great! They are gluten free, no added sugars, no dairy, none of that high fructose corn syrup crap!
He was a big fan and we even took some to the Bears game we went to last weekend so he could have a healthier snack!
Should have gotten a pic before he gobbled it down!
My favorite bars were the Cocoa Mint and the Chocolate delight!
Don’t mind my nails this was right before getting a manicure!

If you want to check out some of their awesome Natural Snacks I recommend checking out there site and if you love chocolate go for the Cocoa Crunch!!

On Friday Faves….

January 8, 2016

Oh man I can’t tell you how excited I am that it is Friday! Finally. I am still sick but I think I have made it past the worst of it. So for some of my faves…

– New Perfume
I got some new perfume for Xmas and I am loving it. I wanted to try something I hadn’t tried before so glad it worked out!
I smell so nice 🙂
– Three Kings Day aka Epiphany
We always do a little dinner at my parents for 3 Kings Day and my dad tells the story to my nephew and we eat Rosca De Reyes and hot chocolate.  It’s all very hispanic. So they put a little baby jesus in the bread, sometimes more than one, and the person(s) who get it are supposed to host a party on February 2nd- Dia de la Candelaria. Guess who got the baby jesus? Yep. So I will have my family over for dinner and since I do not like Tamales we will be eating something else!
How delicious does that bread look??

– Books…Books…
I read The 5th Wave  this week and love loved it. Seriously I am excited for the movie although I know it won’t do the book any justice I just want to be able to put a face and all that to the characters. It was a little confusing at the beginning but then it kind of works itself out. I am still not sure about the ending so I am excited to be starting the 2nd book this weekend!
– Planner!
My roommate bought me a cute planner for Xmas and I have already gone apeshit with it. I had to ground myself from it for a day so I could stop adding every single detail of my life into it. How does everyone else control themselves??
Looks like this one…nothing fancy but it works!!

– Hoarding??
– After reading Stephanie from Not Entirely Perfect post 52 Week Plan to an Organized Home I decided I do actually need to declutter my life. I mean I don’t have a home, I live in a small apartment but I still have things I really don’t need. So I am plan to give it a shot and see what I can do!! It is hard with roommates though, I mean my one roommate saves boxes for EVERYTHING. It drives me insane. We don’t have storage so all of the extra space in the apartment has suitcases and boxes for every single thing he buys.
It feels like it looks like this but yea it definitely doesn’t!

On Mondays…After Christmas

December 28, 2015

Can you believe it is the Monday after Christmas already? Counting down the last days of 2015! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a great weekend too.

This year my Christmas was a little different and I loved it. I spent Christmas Eve morning baking cookies with The Boyfriend and then headed to my parents for a PJ Christmas.

Usually there are so many of us we don’t get to sit at one table but this year we asked the extended family to join us later in the evening so we could all sit at one table together.

Opened lots of great gifts and had our gingerbread contest…which I lost for the 1st time(my mom is a cheat!!)

On Christmas day we opened gifts from Santa and then headed to the movies in our new pajamas to see Daddys Home! It was super funny and highly recommended!

After the movie I headed to celebrate with The Boyfriend’s family. This is a first for me because I am pretty adamant about not splitting holidays, I don’t like the stress of getting from one place to the other and people waiting for you or being disappointed on a holiday. Since after the movie is usually the time I head home it actually worked out perfectly that they have dinner on Christmas day.

I got some gifts from his family and him and clearly with that book he knows me very well!!

He got me some great gifts this year…

On our first vacation together we took a sailboat trip in Costa Rica..how cute is that charm???
It was a great Christmas and a fantastically relaxing weekend! How was your Christmas???
