Found this idea through Bookishly Brittany who followed Lost in a Story.
You can see March’s picks here!
Here is how it works:
- Go to your goodreads to-read shelf.
- Order on ascending date added.
- Take the first 5 (or 10 if you’re feeling adventurous) books
- Read the synopses of the books
- Decide: keep it or should it go?
So here we go….
The Bookshop on the Corner by Rebecca Raisin
This looks like an adorable romance, not sure why I haven’t read it yet but I also love books about bookshops! Judgement: Keep
Carry On by Rainbow Rowell
It looks like a light YA read, but also a bit on the childish side. I love vampire everything but also the reviews seem to claim this is a great read. Judgement: Keep
The Passage by Justin Cronin
This book comes in at 766 pages which is likely why I haven’t gotten to it yet. Post Apocalyptic, fantasy and paranormal and the first of 3 books. Judgement: Keep
The Fever by Megan Abbott
In reading this review I am not really sure why I put this book on my list. It is very likely that I found this on a list. A mysterious illness strikes a high school? Meh. Judgement: Go
The Passenger by Lisa Lutz
Looking at this now I am almost positive I added this book because I thought it was another book that was about aliens. Judgement: Go
Keeping 3 and removing 2 at this rate I will still have 800+ books on my good reads list when I finally get through this!
Have you read any of these? Think I should keep or drop one?
