Monday Monday!

How was everyone’s weekend?

Mine was pretty good, though I wish that we could have had better weather since its going to be back to 80’s again today. Lets do a little recap!

Friday… Thenewguy and I were bumming around trying to figure out our Friday night since he worked all weekend. All the roommates came home and it was decided we were going out together. So off we went to Honey Butter Fried Chicken to eat some chicken, have some ginger mules and relax out in the chilly night. From there we walked to a new spot nearby called Beer Temple. We actually called it a night pretty early (12ish) since he had to be up super early.

Saturday…I have to admit here I have a bit of an obsession. AGAIN I went to Bub City for brunch. This time with a meetup group but still. I have a problem. It was fantastic and I don’t even feel regret about it. Followed that up with some shopping downtown to kill time and then off to Ocktoberfest in Lakeview to drink some beer( I have finally found a beer I like – Radler!) and listen to some music. It was a good night though kinda chilly!

Sunday…started far too early for me…because being up at 9 on a Sunday is a no-go! I went off to meet my family for breakfast and to do our annual Bengston’s Pumpkin Farm visit. My brother wasn’t able to make it as he is still practicing for next sundays performance so we will probably try to go again. Ended the day joining Thenewguy on his couch for football and homework just like the last 4 sundays. I am planning to give the pumpkin patch its own post so here are just a few cute pics of the day!

I’d say it was a pretty decent weekend! Can’t wait to see what you all did!

Thirsty Thursday- Kentucy Mule

You may not know this but I have officially crossed over into a whiskey drinker (except for when I drink cider). I am still learning but I definitely prefer it to any other liquor…including wine. Its on my list to visit the Bourbon trail but Thenewguy is unpleasant whiskey person so I have to find someone who wants to go with me!

Anyway. I love Kentucky Mules. I used to really like moscow mules but now that I avoid vodka I have found this drink.

I had some fruity variations over the summer mostly because I just dumped fruit into a drink I had already made but I am looking forward to trying the fall ones!

Tuesday @ Two: Week 1

Do you ever just want to randomly share something but don’t’ know that you have a place in your blog post? Thats me…all the time. So I think I am going to just share two random things with you on Tuesdays at Two…because I like the way that sounds. So here we go…

Tuesdays have kind of become my favorite day of the week because Thenewguy is always off this day. Its the one day of the week that doesn’t change for him and so I can always count on seeing him and if I happen to be off then I know I will get a random weekday adventure! It also means that if you try to make plans with me on Tuesday then I will probably already have a plan and likely say no.

I need a button like this because I am a dork like that.

I hate almond milk.

There I said. Shit is gross, no I don’t care what you say or what brand you tell me to try its nasty. It has a horribly bitter aftertaste that even when masked with other ingredients I can still taste it. Ugh. Problem is that I can’t use coconut milk for everything because then it has a slight coconut flavor.

So that is not at all where I was going with this post when I thought of Tuesdays @ Two…but here we are with two random bits of nothing that I couldn’t manage to fit into other blog posts.
