On Fridays I share…

It’s Friday yo! no seriously I am so happy its finally here.

So lets see…some of the highlights/faves of this week: 
– Midterms are over. Yes. Yes. Yes. Statistics if the effing devil and Chemistry makes my brain hurt but the midterms are done and I can focus on making it through next week before my school spring break. Yes!!! 
this may have been my screensaver…got to have something to look forward to right?? 
– Chicago is partying for St. Patty’s this weekend and so am I! My entire Saturday is blocked off for what I hope to fill with booze and brunch and more booze…oh and we will go see the river dyeing too because I haven’t done that in ages. 
– This song. Cara “Here” Every time it comes on I sing along and I finally bought it so I could listen whenever I want. I love the lyrics and I totally get the lyrics which I rarely come across in stuff on the radio anymore. 


– Hoarding books. Ok so I mentioned last week that after reading a post I was able to find all these new books. Well now I am hoarding them. I’ve had my kindle well over a year and only had about 8 books on it. Now? At least 50+. In the span of 2 weeks. I have a problem. I really do wish Kindle would release like 1 or 2 non-romance or 300 page books free weekly or something though. I do love to read the shorter YA and romance books but it seems like that is all they have for free.

– New laptop/tablet…I am in the market for a new tablet/laptop for school. My laptop is ginormous and I have a kindle so I feel like it kind of sucks but i would like to have a tablet/laptop that i can take notes both text & handwritten and be able to draw on and also small/lightweight. Any ideas?? Right now I am looking at the new Samsung Tab or the Ipad Air but I kind of promised myself I would never go back to an Apple anything so I don’t know!!! 
I am ready for the weekend…how about you??

2. Tried out my new Cupcake mask from Lush! 
I’m not naked I swear! Anyway I loved it and basically wanted to eat my face off while I waited for it to dry. Check out the info here! My face was kind of a mess the last few weeks with eating so much junk and running out of my goodies so hopefully this will help it get back on track! 
My Canadian bestie has been asking me if I plan to move to Canada if Trump wins all the time so she sent me the article. It makes me laugh and cringe because really. How is this even a possibility? 
Even have officials in Canda tweeting info out! This is crazy. Please make it stop. 
4. Just started Matched by Ally Condie and I love it so far! You may recall I am not supposed to be spending any of my free time reading but ya know what? #idowhatiwant No really…I would be miserable if I wasn’t able to do some reading for fun at least 10-15 minutes a day. 
5. This post from Kristin at See You in a Porridge about Places to get Cheap or Free Books! I don’t know I how I wasn’t aware of most of these but I have now downloaded about 20+ books in the last few days as well as learned how to take advantage of renting ebooks from my library!! Do it and thank her! 
6. I found out about this deodorant from Stephanie @ Not Entirely Perfect 
I know I know its Old Spice but this shit seriously smells like something sweet and it works SOOO much better than what I was using before. I am a sweaty girl, I admit it so I need some serious business and this works and smells great! Sooo yea I love those Thursday posts!

On Mondays

Heyo!! It is Monday again. I am actually feeling kinda good because I slept like a baby last night. FINALLY!

Lets talk about this weekend. I really didn’t have that exciting of a time so not too much to report.

– Friday there was studying & catching up on my shows. I have another quiz & exam this week so I knew I had to get it done. I have only really been able to keep up with 2-3 of my shows right now so I watched The Bachelor, Scandal and Izombie.

-Saturday I had brunch with my roommate at Orange which is one of my fave brunch places because they have Frushi & these delicious flight of pancakes with themes but of course I forgot my lactaid pills so no pancakes for me. 

Then we headed off to Lush where I proceeded to just throw my money at the cashier while I stocked up on all my stuff. Plus I had 5 empty containers so I got a free mask! Yay!! I decided to try Cupcake! 
Saturday night The Boyfriend and I had our Vday makeup dinner. We went away for the weekend of Valentine’s day but didn’t end up going out to dinner or anything since it snowed and snowed and we just wanted to relax. We headed to the north burbs by him to Di Pescara.  We went last year and decided to do it again. The food is fantastic! I actually didn’t take pics of our food or anything because it was a nice romantic night and I didn’t want to pull out my phone. 
Sunday- We got up bright & early and headed to Sarkis for what I assume could be called brunch. It is a janky little spot in the burbs by him that is delicious and always full of college students who look hungover. Luckily the weather was amazing! then I headed to my parents to hang out and study some more. Drove all the way back home meal prepped for the next few days and did more homework. Very exciting life!

and that about sums up my weekend. OOoh and Leo finally won an Oscar!!! What are we going to do with all those hilarious memes???
